You wake up to windows fogged over, or frosted along the inside of the glass, water pooling on the sill, maybe a faint musty smell nearby. It's easy to wipe away and forget about — but it's actually your house telling you something about what's happening inside its walls.

Waking Up to Fogged or Frosted Glass

It's one of the more visually obvious things a house can do. You pull back the curtains on a cold morning and the glass is fogged white, or in colder spells, actually frosted over on the inside — not the outside, the inside, where nothing should be cold enough to frost. Sometimes there's a puddle collecting on the sill by mid-morning.
